We were young in the best of times. You can't recreate the 50's and we were fortunate enough to have actually lived them. By the 60's we had enough technology to be comfortable. We could go anywhere but to church, barefooted. And the MUSIC...was what saved me. Well, that and God. I can remember all the words to Blue, Navy Blue but I can't tell you what I had for lunch yesterday...
Started out at Miller International after HS. At 23 went on the road with a local band, Blackhawk. Ended up at the Wm Morris Agency in Beverly Hills working for those crazy agents. Did some vocals at Jobete Studios (Motown). Back to Denver at 25, did the music thing for a while, then worked at Coastal Oil and Gas and met my husband. Married at 28, had my two girls, divorced 8 yrs later and have remained single. Presently at Aon, a global insurance brokerage firm, and love my job as an account manager. Still do studio vocals with my daughter and the occasional live performance. I'm not shy anymore. Remain primary caregiver for my disabled daughter, Rachel Catherine, who is 26, and life's greatest joy. Elizabeth Demaree is 28, an amazing singer/guitarist/songwriter. I'm so proud of my girls.
